Fospice
Once FFLR commits to take a dog or cat, they are part of the FFLR family. Sometimes we know the fur baby needs medical care when committing and sometimes we are surprised with the diagnosis but once we commit, they are loved and never given up on. Sometimes that means they can’t be adopted. Fortunately, we have amazing Fospice Fosters that make sure they live their remaining time as part of a family and loved to the end. Through donations and fundraising FFLR supports our Fospice babies until the end by covering medical bills, medicines, specialized food, etc.
Bella’s Bounty
Bella’s Bounty has been established in memory of dear sweet Bella, the beloved boxer of Chris & Christine Hanna and family. Bella died unexpectedly at a very young age and we wanted to honor her memory. Chris and Christine are big supporters of Friends Fur Life and we wanted to honor them as well. Bella’s Bounty is a program at Friends Fur Life that helps families that are dealing with the decision to give their pets to shelters or rescues due to an event that has them struggling financially. These families should not have to face this decision when their animals are a part of their family. Bella’s Bounty has been established to temporarily aid these families with food and/or medical funds so they can keep their furry family members. Bella’s Bounty will also be reaching out to senior centers to help establish programs to keep pets with their senior owners when their fixed income is not enough to feed their animals. Friends Fur Life will be forever grateful for the wonderful support of Chris and Christine Hanna for making Bella’s Bounty a reality!
